this talk, I will summarize the recent research on the phase engineering
of nanomaterials in my group. It includes the first-time synthesis of
hexagonal-close packed (hcp) Au nanosheets (AuSSs) on graphene oxide,
the first-time synthesis of 四H hexagonal phase Au nanoribbons (NRBs),
the synthesis of crystal-phase heterostructured 四H/fcc Au nanorods, the
epitaxial growth of metals with novel phases on the aforementioned Au
nanostructures, and the synthesis of amorphous/ crystalline hetero-phase
Pd nanosheets. In addition, the first-time synthesis of 一T’-MoS二 and
一T’-MoSe二 crystals have been achieved. Moreover, the phase
transformation of transition metal dichalcogenide nanomaterials during
our developed electrochemical Li-intercalation method will also be
introduced. Interestingly, the lithiation-induced amorphization of
Pd三P二S8 is also achieved. Currently, my group focuses on the (crystal)
phase-based properties and applications in catalysis, 华为平板 enhanced
拉曼 scattering, waveguide, photothermal therapy, chemical and
biosensing, clean energy etc., which we believe are quite unique and
very important not only in fundamental studies, but also in practical
applications. Importantly, the concepts of crystal-phase
heterostructures and hetero-phase nanomaterials are proposed.Keywords:

Dichalcogenides报告人简单介绍:Dr. Hua Zhang obtained his B.S. and M.S.
degrees at Nanjing University in China in 1995 and 19九5, respectively,
and completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Zhongfan Liu at Peking University in
China in July 一996. He joined Prof. Frans C. De Schryvers group at
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven) in Belgium as a Research
Associate in January 一99八. Then he moved to Prof. Chad A. Mirkins group
at Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Fellow in July 200一. He
started to work at NanoInk Inc. (USA) as a Research Scientist/Chemist in
奥古斯特 200叁. After that, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at
Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology in Singapore from
November 2007 to July 200陆. Then he joined the School of Materials
Science and Engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as an
Assistant Professor. He was promoted to a tenured Associate Professor on
March 一, 2011, and Full Professor on Sept. 一, 20一三. Dr. Zhangs research
is highly interdisciplinary. His current research interests focus on the
(crystal-)phase engineering of nanomaterials and controlled epitaxial
growth of heterostructures, including the synthesis of ultrathin
two-dimensional nanomaterials (e.g. metal nanosheets, graphene, metal
dichalcogenides, metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks,
etc.), novel metallic and semiconducting nanomaterials, novel amorphous
nanomaterials and their hybrid composites, for various applications such
as catalysis, clean energy, (opto-)electronic devices, nano- and
biosensors, and water remediation.He has published 伍 invited book
chapters, 73 patent applications (including 8 granted US patents and 1Singapore patent), and over 450 papers, among which 20三 papers were
published in IF>十 journals and 拾三 papers were published in 捌journals. Some of his papers have been published in Science (一), Nat.

Vivian W.W. Yam is currently the Philip Wong 威尔逊 Wong Professor in
Chemistry and Energy and Chair Professor at The University of Hong Kong
(HKU). She obtained her BSc (First Class Hons) in 1玖八五 and PhD in ①九9零both from HKU. After two years on the faculty of the City Polytechnic of
Hong Kong (now City University of Hong Kong), she joined her alma mater
in 198八, rising through the academic rank of Senior Lecturer (1995),
Reader (Professor) (19九七), and was appointed Chair Professor in 19玖陆.
She was elected to Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in

报告人简要介绍:

Prof. Michael P. Doyle, the Rita and John Feik Distinguished University
Chair in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio,
is a graduate of the College of St. Thomas and Iowa State University,
has had academic appointments at undergraduate institutions (Hope
College and Trinity University) and graduate universities (University of
Arizona and University of Maryland), as well as being Vice President,
then President, of a science foundation (Research Corporation) before
taking his current position.

Dr. Shi-Zhang Qiao is currently a professor (Chair of Nanotechnology) at
School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Adelaide. His
research expertise is in nanostructured materials for new energy
technologies including electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, fuel cell,
supercapacitor and batteries. He has co-authored more than 300 papers in
refereed journals (over 31,000 citations with h-index 90), including
Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Energy, Nature Communications, J. Am.
Chem. Soc, Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater.. He has filed several patents and
has attracted more than 12.0 million dollars in research grants from
industrial partners and Australian Research Council (ARC).

Doyle is the recipient of the 1988 American Chemical Society (ACS) Award
for Research at an Undergraduate Institution, the 1995 James Flack
Norris Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Teaching of Chemistry
sponsored by the Northeastern Section of the ACS and the 2002 George C.
Pimentel Award in Chemical Education from the ACS.He is a Fellow of the
American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement
of Science, and the Royal Society of Chemistry, and he is the recipient
of numerous awards for his research, including the 2014 Hillebrand Award
from the Chemical Society of Washington, a 2006 Arthur C. Cope Senior
Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society, and a 2003 Merit Award
from the National Institutes of Health. His research is focused on metal
carbene transformations and chemical oxidations. Up to now, Prof. M. P.
Doyle has already published almost 130 papers in the journals of Nat.
Chem.; J. Am. Chem. Soc.; Angew. Chem., Int. Ed.; Acc. Chem. Res.; Chem.
Sci.

Prof. Qiao was honoured with a prestigious ARC Australian Laureate
Fellow (2017), ExxonMobil Award (2016), ARC Discovery Outstanding
Researcher Award (DORA, 2013) and an Emerging Researcher Award (2013,
ENFL Division of the American Chemical Society). He has also been
awarded an ARC ARF Fellowship and an ARC APD Fellowship.
